COUNSELLING

Our Counselling Services

Dr Kayleigh Young is a Clinical Psychologist based in Melbourne, working with clients across Australia via telehealth. She has experience delivering psychological assessment and therapy across both public and private settings.

She works with individuals experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief and loss, interpersonal difficulties and workplace-related challenges.

Kayleigh also supports individuals navigating periods of pressure, responsibility or change in their personal or professional lives. She helps clients develop greater insight into the experiences that may be affecting their wellbeing.

Kayleigh integrates insights from contemporary psychological research and neuroscience to support clients in understanding how stress, trauma and life experiences shape emotional and behavioural patterns.

Therapeutic Approach

Kayleigh has completed extensive clinical training and draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to ensure sessions are tailored to each client’s needs. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, strengths-based approaches, schema therapy and trauma-informed therapy.

Underpinning all therapy is an empathetic and collaborative approach. Sessions aim to support clients to develop deeper insight into themselves and their experiences. This helps them understand how they think, feel and respond to challenges in their lives.

Appointments

Leap Psychology and Consulting offers counselling sessions via secure telehealth (video or telephone), supporting clients across Melbourne and Australia.
