Our Clinical Supervision Services

Dr Kayleigh Young is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and AHPRA Psychology Board approved supervisor. She has extensive experience delivering psychological assessment and therapy across clinical, forensic and organisational contexts, working with both youth and adult clients in public and private settings.

She works with psychologists across all stages of their careers, including those completing the Clinical Psychology Registrar Programme.

Our Clinical Supervision Services

Kayleigh’s clinical work draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and empirically supported techniques including:

  • CBT
  • ACT
  • Mindfulness
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Solution Focused Therapy
  • Strengths-Based approaches
  • Schema Therapy
  • Trauma Focused Therapy

In supervision, Kayleigh takes a collaborative and reflective approach, supporting practitioners to develop a deeper understanding of their clinical work.

Supervision provides a space to reflect on practice, strengthen case formulation, explore therapeutic style and identify areas for professional growth. It also offers an opportunity to think through the emotional demands and complexities of the work, including managing transference and countertransference, maintaining professional boundaries and balancing clinical and organisational responsibilities.

This includes recognising and responding to the impacts of vicarious trauma, burnout and cumulative stress that can arise in emotionally demanding roles.

Kayleigh encourages open discussion, feedback and collaborative problem-solving within supervision sessions.

Her approach is also informed by contemporary psychological research and neuroscience, supporting practitioners to better understand how people respond to stress, trauma, decision making and interpersonal dynamics within their professional roles.

Supervision may also support professionals working in complex organisational or leadership roles who are seeking a reflective space to think through professional challenges.
